Anyone in need of a fun LSD playlist?

I am the type of person that loves to do EVERYTHING alone- except running. And as luck would have it, I don’t have a single runner friend in my area, so nothing beats a solid LSD playlist.

I’ve mentioned in my last posts that I’ve been super injured lately, and tomorrow I’m hoping to get back into it. I’ve been cross training so hopefully I’ll be able to pick up where I left off on my training plan, which means that tomorrow is a 10 mile run…. and due to the freezing cold and snowy weather here in NJ, it’s looking like my run is going to be on a treadmill…. And this is how I feel about that:

Forgetting headphones..

Walked into work carrying my gym bag, excited for my daily lunch run (which due to the weather would be a 4 mile treadmill run). And as if treadmills aren’t bad enough, I realized I forgot my headphones. This was my reaction:

Not entirely sure I could do a 4 mile run without headphones in a gym that doesn’t play music… In dire need of motivation, because this is the only thought going through my head right now:

Why do I run?

This is the excerpt for your very first post.

I admit it. I don’t always want to run. Half the time I’d rather stay in bed, or go get a snack. Especially if it’s cold, and it’s cold very often in NJ. I will say however:

Never, ever, ever have I finished a run and regretted it.

So how do you motivate yourself to put on your sneakers? You don’t think. If you think about it too much you’ll talk yourself out of it. Make a playlist you won’t want to change mid-run and go out there.

I’m supposed to go for a run in 33 minutes and I’m dreading it. I have to use a treadmill which is a runner’s worst nightmare. I don’t get to use my GPS watch nor do I get to create a fun route using MapMyRun.com. And am I the only one that struggles to keep a decent pace on a treadmill? Wish me luck.
